to have a look

Sometimes words cloud or confuse the issue. Words could lead to misinterpretation. A picture, straight to the point, take a moment to look at the picture. Words travel through a lot of cultural passageways and then pass through personal filters. The same thing could happen with a picture viewed at a glance. The trick is to slow down long enough to see what's in front of the eye.

follow the carrot

Stonehenge Stumps explained to his son that if he was a good boy, he would find a prize at the bottom of the box of Cracker Jacks. If you do the right thing, you'll live the good life. Peter Stumps followed the carrot down the garden path. Unfortunately, things didn't work out according to plan. He ran into conflicts along the way. He made mistakes and was severely punished. Lohbado failed to live the good life. He never did attain the carrot. Instead, something amazing happened..... not what one might expect. It certainly was nothing to write home about, but it was ........ aaaahh.....

Lohbado in the alcove, more memoir

In 1977 Lohbado worked in the housekeeping department of a large hospital complex in Somewhereville. He remembered a brick alcove. Lohbado, in 2014, ate porridge for breakfast and remembered standing on the roof of an old unit, years ago, and gazing up at brick walls on two sides. He entered an alcove, brick walls on four sides, dazzling brick pattern. The back of Lohbado's neck hurt as he stared up the brick walls. The optic effect of pink brick and beige lines made him dizzy. The walls slowly turned, forming a cylinder. Lohbado gazed up the brick tunnel to the cool October sky. The thought of approaching winter made him shudder.

milkweed plants

According to Moronovian mythology, the milkweed plant is a mixture of Oogah's white beard and the sneeze of Oorsis. One morning, as Oogah trimmed his beard, dust particles made Oorsis sneeze. The mixture fell to the ground. Milkweed plants sprouted.

Lohbado visited Karme Choling meditation center in Barnet, Vermont. He walked up a steep hill to a meadow to enjoy the beauty of an autumn morning. A small stupa, where the funeral of Choygam Trungpa Rinpoche took place in 1987 overlooks the meadow. On the way down the hill, Lohbado met Kevin, who was in the forest, making preparations for winter.
