the happy bike rider

click on picture to see video. Bike riding is a great way to relax, get in shape and to get around in the city. Lohbado offered a prayer that the city plough all trails, including the ones along Lachine Canal in Montreal.

lesser vehicle of cosmic transformation

It's no surprise if one wakes up, turns on the news and experiences a sense of malaise, as if things have gone mad. The farmer in the dell, the farmer in the hell, heigh ho, heigh ho ding dong bell. When Lohbado felt this way, he hopped on his bicycle and rode it out of his system. Ride until clouds covering your mental horizon dissolve. Ride until you feel better. In this way, Lohbado's bicycle was a vehicle of cosmic transformation. It transformed his view of things from bad to better.

Loba Anatomy

As Lohbado walked through the cemetery, he tried to imagine what would happen if graves opened and dead came out of the ground and began talking all at once. This thought filled him with a hollow sensation, as if suddenly what lay under the skin became visible, brightly coloured shapes and patterns of organs performing various bodily functions and keeping the body alive.

Along with a body is a sense of self. Lohbado tried to imagine some sort of creature in his head, a director or overseer of his body/mind continuum. The grinch in his head responded to the slightest provocation or insult. The funny little boss in his head insisted on being right and refused to admit mistakes. His ego was too big to even consider the possibility that he could be fallible. It was always somebody else's fault. There was always somebody or something to blame. It was never his fault, because he was himself and he knew what was best for himself and the world. The world should bend to his wishes. Everyone should do their best to ensure his happiness. His skin was sensitive to anything that might wound his vanity.

Lohbado laughed at ego's childish sense of omnipotence. He suddenly felt like a clown. He did a little skeleton dance in the graveyard, then continued on his way up Mount Royal.

Goo Koo Cake

A ritual cake served at the Club Morono Tabernacle. Before eating, one was required to mutter a prayer from the sect Church of the Living Monument liturgy. Reverend Stonehenge Stumps insisted his children repeat the following prayer before each meal: "Gobbis foo goo koo cake amen." It signalled the start of another digestive experience.

welcome to winter

click on picture to see video. During morning walk yesterday, Lohbado made a silly video about the second episode of snowfall this season, making the end of fall and the beginning of winter. The first few snow falls are often quite charming and beautiful. The start of winter one might feel psychologically prepared for winter. One might resolve to enjoy winter sports, or to spend more time outdoors. The possibility of so many fun winter activities creates a sense of expectation. It will be interesting to see how one feels in February, after many dark cold days and lots of snow.

introduction to Lohbado youtube channel

click on picture to see video. On a rainy day last week Lohbado made an attempt to provide an introduction to the Lohbado youtube channel, during a bike ride along the Lachine Canal in Montreal. While editing sequences, he deleted a lot of baloney and did his best to keep something semi-intelligible. The trouble with creating video; at the time it seems cool, but then you look at it a second time and wince. The wise thing would be to abandon the effort. However, Lohbado isn't wise. He persists. It's part of the creative process. Lohbado views video making as an art form, similar to painting.

Instead of using paint on canvas, Lohbado uses video mode of his camera to record color, form, motion. With a camera, one composes scenes and allowing room to move about and to even speak a little poetry, stories or silly chatter. The urge to create and communicate is a basic human instinct going back to prehistoric times. Art objects have been found dating back to 60,000 BC.

A proper introduction to the channel would require careful planning and organization. What was Lohbado thinking? Did he honestly expect to be able to provide an explanation during a long bike ride? Well, in this case, he's dead on. This is the Moronovian Way, to interact with situations as one drifts through the river of time. Whatever you say will not be the whole story. It's a case of picking and choosing. A topic could be explored from many angles, narrative, conceptual, psychological... The sky is the limit. The main thing is to have fun. Lohbado frequently told himself: don't take yourself so seriously.

baloney badoozle

ink on paper

Lohbado worked with baloney until he reached the level of Balonics expert. Baloney is a cheap and easy snack, a comfort food. There's loads of it available.
