Be careful in winter when removing onions from a bag. Lohbado got squirted in the face with rotten onion juice. The one in the photo was soft, but not mushy. Lohbado sliced it in half and decided to take a picture, rather than to add it to spaghetti sauce. The onion was fertile and had begun to send out green shoots when Lohbado cut short the process. It would make good compost.
