Montreal has a wide variety of architectural styles. The in front picture features brick facade with standard door window balcony design. The photo of inside shows the lobby of an apartment block. The top photo is a building viewed from behind. Tin sheds used to be quite popular.
The buildings can be viewed from different angles, from inside, outside, above, below, off to one side... Season, time of day, the weather, one's mood... many factors influence how one perceives the building. If one feels good, the warm brick and reflections of the sky might appear pleasant and inviting. If one is in a bad mood, they might appear bleak and ugly. It's like that with many things or situations. There's a difference between how situations appear and the essence. The essence refers to how things are without one's personal preferences or the filters of a self-based perspective or ego-based evaluation. An architect or city planner might view the buildings from the point of view of aesthetics or functionality. Lohbado enjoyed ephemera, how things change from moment to moment, the infinite flow of sense impressions.
