Leo Comet's clean compositions... crisp recordings, strong signal were in marked contrast to Edmund La Bray's muddy mumbling reverberation, a kind of singing in the shower or sleeping in an unfinished basement music. On the other hand, just so one doesn't get the idea that La Bray was a total wash up, excerpts from Edmund's
Lumpkins Oratorio were once performed after midnight on public radio, whereas when Lohbado put on an electronic composition of Leo Comet, Dr. Jane Wormsly asked him to turn it off. Lohbado woke up with a headache, downed a couple painkillers, drank a coffee and went out to enjoy the sights and sounds of Montreal.
